Prof. Dr Vahid received his PhD in TESL from University Putra Malaysia where he became a postdoctoral fellow in 2012 before he joined University Malaya as a research fellow for a year in 2013. He is currently an associate professor at UPM and the chief editor of the International Journal of Education and Literacy Studies based in Australia, and managing editor of Journal of Language and Communication, UPM, Malaysia
