Dr Tariq Rahman is an academic and a highly published scholar in the field of linguistics history and sociolinguistics. He is the recipient of the Humboldt research award and a higher doctorate (D.Litt.) from the University of Sheffield.In recognition of his scholarly work and research, government of Pakistan has awarded him Presidential Pride of Performance and Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
