Dr Chau Meng Huat began his career over 20 years ago as a teacher working with primary, secondary and high school students, before he took up a fellowship and joined University Malaya in 2010. At University Malaya, Meng Huat teaches and supervises research in Applied Linguistics. His research, teaching and supervision on topics in applied corpus linguistics, Global Englishes, language and writing development, multilingualism and TESOL have been motivated by ecojustice considerations, with a view to better understanding and enhancing the potential contribution of Applied Linguistics towards a sustainable world. Meng Huat holds adjunct and visiting appointments at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in China and De La Salle University-Dasmariñas in the Philippines. His publications include International Perspectives on Education and Corpus Applications in Applied Linguistics, both published by Bloomsbury.
