Dr. Waseem Anwar had worked as Dean (Humanities) and Chair (English) at Forman Christian College and Government College Universities of Lahore. Twice recipient of Fulbright fellowships, for doctoral at IUP and postdoctoral at Duke, he served as the President of the Pak-US Alumni Network and Fulbright Alumni Association. A Gale Group American Scholar, he is bestowed with “Salam Teacher Award
– 2004” and HEC “Best Teacher Award – 2003.” He is serving the Executive Committee of the South Asian Literary Association for the third time. His book, “Black” Women’s Dramatic Discourse was published in 2009, while he also co-edited the 2010 South Asian Review special issue 31:3 on Pakistani creative writing in English. His Routledge, UK publication, Transcultural Humanities in South Asia is a 2022 forthcoming edited volume. With his interest in Critical Theory, a range of Anglo-American, European, South Asian, and postcolonial
literatures, he has written articles for various journals and is the founding Editor in Chief of JELLS, a research journal of Forman Christian College English Department. He has presented at numerous national and international conferences and is on the advisory and editorial boards of several nationally and internationally renowned research journals in his field.
